Beethoven - 9 sinfonías - Colin Davis
No hace mucho habíamos dedicado una entrada a la sinfonía nº 3 de Beethoven en la versión de Colin Davis al frente de la Dresden Staatskapelle. Para satisfacer a algunos amigos del blog, a quienes gustó bastante aquella versión, aquí tienen el ciclo completo beethoveniano por los mismos intérpretes. Un ciclo interesante, por cuanto este director, especialmente famoso por sus interpretaciones de Berlioz y Sibelius, nunca se ha prodigado demasiado en la música del genio de Bonn, aunque nos haya proporcionado también en disco un ciclo antológico de los conciertos de piano de Beethoven en colaboración con el pianista Stephen Bishop-Kovacevic. Una bella toma de sonido, una excelente prestación de la orquesta y una concepción pausada y serena de un Davis maduro que nos permitirán paladear muchos detalles. Que lo disfruten.
